SUMMARY

Responsible for providing market, strategic, sales and forecast planning and data to help drive sales through Home Depot in the Western Region. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market analysis to determine proper retail price points for existing store products by region.
  • Manage the Home Depot AMT planning process of adding and deleting individual items for individual regions, markets and stores based on volume and demand. 
  • Market analysis to determine proper retail price points and potential sales demand for new items currently not carried. 
  • In charge of driving the process for new regionally placed items from implementation, to quantity levels, to in store signage and sell through to regional marketing to the end consumers and users.
  • 25% travel within region on a monthly basis to better partner with Regional Managers and In Store Pro Personnel to drive existing and new sales.
  • Extracts data from necessary sources including the AS400 in order to accomplish goals.
  • Develops accurate charts, graphs, spreadsheets, presentations and reports from extracted data.
  • Use extracted data to determine, by individual Home Depot warehouse, units sold, gross revenue, sales costs, gross margin dollars, gross margin %, average inventory costs and GMROI on a monthly basis.
  • Maintains organized files of all material developed in order to utilize it for future projects or reference.
  • Prepares IRAs as required.
  • Assists with Home Depot Pricing Management when needed.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements in order to continuously streamline operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A four-year college degree (or equivalent work experience) with experience in extracting and manipulating data is required (preferably from an AS400). Word, PowerPoint, Access and advanced Excel abilities are necessary. Knowledge of SQL is desired. Experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of market segments, distribution and pricing is ideal.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Possess intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Advanced Excel, and Outlook.  Internet/Intranet experience preferred.
