SUMMARY An Area Sales Manager is responsible for the overall successful management of a list of distribution accounts within a certain territory or region and to promote the JM Eagle brand in the marketplace. This includes establishing volume targets for each account and subsequently meeting those targets on a monthly basis to ensure the success of the entire department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Achieve assigned monthly target. 2. Manage the daily business activities of assigned accounts which includes: provide quotations, pricing, monitoring shipments, scheduling of orders, order entry, securing new orders and ensuring the highest level of service possible; under the guidance of the Company’s Sales SOP. 3. Consistently review target achievement performance and formulate a plan with the guidance of management to improve or immediately overcome short falls. 4. Available to travel a minimum 80% of time to meet with customers, contractors, engineers and municipalities to educate and promote JM Eagle brand. 5. Submits internet call reports to supervisor to communicate market information and recommendations collected during calls to maximize company performance. 6. Responsible to review open order file to ensure all orders and back orders are shipped in timely fashion. 7. Develop necessary account base in assigned territory to ensure the Company has adequate market share in the area to meet sales target objectives and utilize Express Service Trucks 8. Monitor plants inventory levels and communicates with management and production scheduling to ensure availability of products at correct locations. 9. Develop and maintain product and technical knowledge of all of the company’s products by attending various technical training seminars offered and self-study. 10.Respond to customers requests for quotation in a timely, accurate manner and follows all jobs to completion. 11.Responsible for sending samples, literatures, testing data, and necessary documentation to the customers. 12.Initiate and follow through the resolution with Product Assurance department of any dispute with assigned customers. 13.Offer new ideas and opinions on how to improve any aspect of the company through the proper channels. 14.Must be punctual and dependable to meet highest customer service standard. 15.Work closely with Production Department to ensure availability of product in the appropriate areas. 16.Attend and actively participate in company Sales meetings. 17. The Area Sales Manager shall not disclose to anyone-inside or outside o the Company-any Confidential Information. “Confidential information” shall include any of the Company’s proprietary or trade secret information that is disclosed to the Sales Coordinator, or that Sales Coordinator otherwise learns of in the course of employment, such as, but not limited to business plans, customer lists, customer information, internal pricing information, financial statements, software diagrams or documentation, flow charts or other product plans. 18. Assist the Credit Department with collection issues and resolve disputes with customer accounts. 19.Always have a positive work attitude and the desire to take on new responsibilities and challenges that are presented to them by the supervisor (s).

QUALIFICATIONS College degree preferred. Equivalent experience in sales, telemarketing or customer service could be acceptable. Excellent communications skills- both verbal and written are required. Individual must have initiative and overall good working attitude.
COMPUTER SKILLS Basic PC knowledge- Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook.
LANGUAGE SKILLS 1. Read and interpret documents such as sales reports and procedural manuals. 2. Write English effectively and correspond with customers. 3. Speak English clearly and effectively in front of groups whether they are customers or employees of own organization.
