I.        Positions reporting directly to this position:  None.

II.      Position Objective:

      Provide general marketing support in events and  tradeshow coordination, billing processing,  vendor searching and negotiating, and tracking / monitoring customer database.

III.    Qualifications:

       Minimum college Graduate w/Business Management or Marketing .   Must posses good organizational & communication skills, both verbal & written.  Functional with Mac and Adobe Graphic system, is plus. Must Functional with Words, Excel & Power Point.  Must posses the ability to accomplish tasks thoroughly and in a time manner.

IV.    Training:

       On-the-job training as new projects and tasks are assigned.

V.      Duties & Responsibilities:

      A.     Tasks and Duties

1.      Prepare the copy (text) for our sales sheets, company news letter, new product announcement

2.      Take care of tradeshow duties that Plastpro will participate. Include hotel reservation, conference scheduling, reserve booth space for next year, coordinate between plastpro and booth builder.

3.      Compile Data  and leads.

4.      Send out samples to customers and Sales Reps.

5.      Creates PowerPoint presentations for sales reps and for meetings.

6.      Helps assemble press clippings on marketplace ads and trends.

 

B.      Machinery and Electrical Devices Used

       Keyboard, mainframe and PC computer terminal, 10-key calculator, fax machine, copier and telephone.  PC Software includes, but is not limited to: MS Office, Exchange ( e-mail ), and other business programs.

 

C.      Physical Activity Required

      Fairly extensive communications through the phone, face-to face or written correspondence (i.e., talking, listening and writing/typing). Repetitive motions from PC keyboard and calculator usage.  Filing and walking to other departments and file locations.  Pushing and pulling of file drawers.  Sitting for extended periods of time.

 

D.      Visual Activity Required

      Ability to accurately read faxes, computer print outs, invoices and other sales documents and reports.  Looking at a CRT/PC monitor for long periods of time.

 

E.       Work Environment Conditions

       Duties will be confined within the office building - enclosed areas with controlled temperatures     

and protected from weather conditions.

VI.    Authority/Decision Making:

              Work under the directions and supervision of the Director of Sales & Marketing, within J-M policies and procedures on a daily basis.  Limited authority and decision-making.
