SUMMARY Assist satellite office with the day-to-day administration of the Human Resources Department. Compiles and maintains personnel records by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Assist with all outside agency “3rd party certification” for groups such as NSF, UL, CSA, IAPMO and others as assigned. · Complete all projects in a timely manner, as assigned. · Assist with industry technical committee meetings. Also write reports on tests and investigations conducted. · Coordinate with J-M internal personnel such as Product Assurance, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, President’s Office, etc. · Handle written and oral communications with all the raw material and gasket suppliers. · Assist and follow up with timely investigations and the company response to product quality and service complaints of J-M products. · Assist in the revisions of J-M product and/or purchase specifications. · Assist in the evaluation of new or modified PVC and/or HDPE formulations. · Assist and follow up on the evaluation of raw materials. · Devote entire time, ability and attention to the business of the Company and shall perform all duties in a professional, ethical and business-like manner. · Interface with R&D group for all specifications and on going projects. · Make plant visitations for the purpose of auditing for conformance with appropriate quality specifications. · The Quality Assurance Assistant shall not disclose to anyone - inside or outside of the Company – any confidential information. “Confidential information” shall include any of the Company’s proprietary or trade secret information that is disclosed to the Quality Assurance Assistant otherwise learns in the course of employment, such as but not limited to; business plans, financial statements, software, diagrams, documentation, flow charts or other product plans. · Initiate, revise and review with J-M plants to create package specifications. · Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS Possess intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
